Working in a BPO after 12th grade was an exhilarating experience, where the high salary and perks, along with the night shifts, made it feel like a thrilling adventure. The stylishly designed cafeteria, with its chic ambiance, provided a sense of high class. The handsome salary was far beyond my monthly pocket money and covered all my shopping expenses.
But it wasn’t always as cool as it seemed. The erratic shifts and constant target pressure began to take a toll on my health, leaving me feeling like a zombie. After each night shift, it often took me half the time to fall asleep, and my sleep hours were reduced to just 4 to 5.
I never wanted to leave the job, though, as it fulfilled all my needs, and I had developed a strong bond with my team, who felt like family.
